In a city where the café culture is as hot as the weather, two Miami coffee shops — both ranked in New Times' 11 Best Coffee Shops list — have just been crowned among the best on the planet. These aren't your run-of-the-mill chains or tourist traps. We're talking about spots that have earned their global recognition by roasting, brewing, and serving up some of the finest cups of coffee you may ever taste.

One of them is a homegrown Miami gem — considered Miami's first-ever coffee roaster — that's garnered well-deserved acclaim for years, brewing beans with precision and passion. The other? A coffee shop where Cuban flavors meet bohemian charm, with sandwiches and coffee so good, they'll have you wondering if you've stumbled onto a hidden Miami treasure.

Ranked No. 30 and No. 98 on the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list, these two Miami spots are redefining what it means to brew a perfect cup. Both have earned their place among the elite, offering more than just coffee — they provide an experience that showcases the city's vibrant coffee culture.

Panther Coffee and Tinta y Café Are Among the Best Coffee Shops in the World

First up at No. 30 is Panther Coffee, a Miami original that's been perfecting the art of coffee since 2010. What started as a small coffee roaster has since grown into an empire, with locations scattered across the city, from Coconut Grove to Wynwood. Owners Joel and Leticia Pollock have been hand-selecting the finest beans on buying trips and custom-roasting them in-house.

Coming in at No. 98, there's Tinta y Café, where Cuban flavors meet a Miami vibe. Founded by two Cuban-born, Miami-raised siblings, this spot brings together the best of Cuban café culture and the laid-back vibes of a true local haunt. From their signature "Tinta y Café" sandwich — prosciutto, pulled pork, and caramelized onions — to their "Noche Entera" medianoche, every bite is a reminder that Tinta is more than just a coffee shop. Pair your drink with a pastelito or some flan, and you've got the ultimate Miami café experience.

And just to round it out, Café Grumpy in Coral Gables — a New York chain with a solid reputation — was listed at No. 57. While it's not quite the hometown hero that Panther or Tinta is, it's earned a spot among the world's best.
