Still, the theater's façade exudes art deco charm, and the upgrades Live Nation made make it a well-equipped theater that feels both intimate and grandiose.
The Fillmore was temporarily closed due to the construction of a hotel for the adjacent Miami Beach Convention Center. Its fate hung in the balance as city commissioners debated whether to raze the venue to build a new one or renovate the existing structure. The good news is that the Fillmore is here to stay — for now.
Its 2025 concert schedule is shaping up to be a good one, with Latin talent like Nathy Peluso, Tiago PZK, and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso all set to appear. There are also live performances by pop singer JoJo, folk-rock outfit Wilco, and new-wave icon Elvis Costello on deck.
