Every year, Miami becomes the epicenter of dance music when DJs, producers, and industry folk descend on the city to escape the winter weather, network, and party. Officially called Miami Music Week, the parties take over venues and hotel pools in Miami and Miami Beach, with the 2025 dates falling on March 25-30. You can expect to hear dance music and all its variations, including EDM, house, techno, trance, drum 'n' bass, and dubstep, at over 200 events during the six-day run.

Best Miami Hotels to Stay During Miami Music Week

Since the parties during Miami Music Week take place across the cities of Miami and Miami Beach, you cannot go wrong in staying somewhere within the city limits. However, the neighborhoods that host the bulk of the events are downtown Miami, Wynwood, South Beach, and Mid-Beach. There are plenty of hotel options in these areas.

Some of the best hotels for partygoers to consider are the InterContinental Miami, which is located right next to Bayfront Park, where Ultra Music Festival occurs; the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, home of LIV nightclub; and Eden Roc Miami Beach, this year's headquarters for Winter Music Conference.

There are also more affordable options, like the high-end hostels like Freehand Miami and Generator Miami, which offer dormitory-style accommodations as well as private rooms.

How to Get Around During Miami Music Week

Like every major event weekend in Miami, getting around the city during Miami Music Week can be a nightmare. Public transportation is limited, so you cannot rely on Metrorail or Metrobus to get you where you need to go. Unfortunately, rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are the best options for getting somewhere quickly.

If you drive, expect to pay for parking regardless if it's a public or private lot. Public lots in Miami and Miami Beach use the PayByPhone and ParkMobile apps. Watch out for private lots that use signage that often look similar to city-owned public lots. This is usually done to mislead drivers so that they use the wrong app to pay for parking, and the private lot owners can dole out a hefty fine. Regardless of whether it's a fine or towing, you will want to avoid it at all costs because nothing will ruin a party faster than either.
