"This season, we celebrate not just the shows but the people who have made Broadway in Miami such a success," says Liz Wallace, VP of programming at the Arsht, noting past productions have included Hamilton, Les Misérables, and On Your Feet! Here, in order of show dates, is your guide to the upcoming Broadway in Miami season at the Arsht.
The Wiz
October 7 to 12, 2025In the spirit of Wicked fever, it feels appropriate that the Arsht is opening Broadway in Miami with another musical set in the realm of Oz: Best Musical winner, The Wiz. Though many will know the production from its marvelous film adaptation (starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, and Richard Pryor, among others), The Wiz has been a Broadway hit since it opened in 1974. The reimagining of L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz centered Black performers and smartly integrated the narrative with a sociopolitical commentary that remains as timely now as it was then.
Clue
December 2 to 7, 2025Pivoting away from musicals for a moment to a straight play, the next production is an adaptation of 1985's comedy masterpiece Clue, which is itself based on the popular board game. Taking Jonathan Lynn's original screenplay and adapting it for the stage, the show is a comedy through and through. See what happens when Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlet, Mrs. Peacock, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Professor Plum, and a precious few others are placed inside a mansion together as a mystery arises.
& Juliet
December 30, 2025 to January 4, 2026Created by Emmy-award-winning Schitt's Creek writer and producer David West Read, & Juliet asks the question: What if Juliet decided not to kill herself at the end of the tragic Romeo & Juliet? The musical answers that question using the music of pop songwriter and producer Max Martin, with a number of tunes by Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, and others.
Moulin Rouge!
March 17 to 22, 2026The jukebox musicals and film adaptations keep coming as Moulin Rouge! returns to South Florida a few years after its Broward stop. The stage production brings the Baz Luhrmann film to life in even more of a cabaret style than the picture itself, telling the tale of an English poet who falls in love with an actress and courtesan. One can expect the same spectacle and color as the motion picture in this stage show, with added contemporary numbers like "Chandelier" and "Firework" alongside classic hits like "Roxanne" and "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend."
The Notebook
May 5 to 10, 2026One more adaptation makes its way to Miami, this time in the form of none other than a novel that's already received a beautiful treatment on film: Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook. The romantic drama, this time adapted by Bekah Brunstetter and featuring music and lyrics by indie pop icon Ingrid Michaelson, tells the entire life story of Noah and Allie, reflecting on their past in storybook form as the two talk at a nursing home.
The Book of Mormon
June 9 to 14, 2026Last, but certainly not least, is the return of another Best Musical winner: The Book of Mormon. The musical comedy was created by the insane team of Robert Lopez (Avenue Q, Frozen) and Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park). It deliberately pokes fun at the absurdity of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its missionaries. This will be the first time the production makes its way to Miami since revisions were made to the show's Black representation in 2020.
