Yeah, Glo! Memphis rapper GloRilla has announced the Glorious Tour, a 21-city trek kicking off in March. The tour will make its way down to South Florida on Monday, March 10, when it stops at War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets for GloRilla's upcoming tour go on sale on Friday, January 31, at noon.
GloRilla had a stellar 2024, with her opening for Megan Thee Stallion for her Hot Girl Summer Tour and releasing her debut album, Glorious, which was received warmly by critics. "Expanding beyond playlistable trap prerequisites and the wistful soul chops that signal a Serious Rap Album, GloRilla channels the music of her youth, cycling through crunk and gospel with aplomb," wrote Pitchfork's Vivian Medithi in her review of the album.
She's quickly become a trailblazer in the industry, collaborating with the likes of Tyler, the Creator, Don Toliver, and Lil Baby. Her meteoric rise has been punctuated by two Grammy nominations this year for "Best Rap Song" and "Best Rap Performance" for her double-platinum single "Yeah Glo!"
It's a testament to the success of Glorious, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, earning the highest debut week for a female rapper in 2024. The album features chart-topping hits like "Yeah Glo!," "TGIF," "Wanna Be," featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and "Whatchu Kno Bout Me," featuring Sexyy Red.
Glo has also earned cosigns from industry heavyweights. Rihanna made "TGIF" the official anthem of her Fenty campaign last year, while Taylor Swift boosted Glo's profile by sharing "Whatchu Kno Bout Me" on social media. With her smooth delivery and confident persona, Glo has cemented herself as one of hip-hop's standout artists during a pivotal era for female rappers in the game.
Her rise comes as rap transitions to celebrate more women in the genre, and Glo is leading the charge with her infectious energy and undeniable talent. From gracing the covers of Rolling Stone and XXL to earning recognition on year-end best-of lists from Rolling Stone, NPR, and the New York Times, Glo's impact is undeniable.
Under the mentorship of CMG CEO Yo Gotti, Glo has built a star-studded debut album featuring Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, and others. She also recently achieved her second Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 as a feature on Tyler, the Creator's "Sticky."
