Jazz in the Gardens dropped its lineup today, with the news that Ms. Lauryn Hill and New Edition are this year's headliners. Also on the bill are acts like Toni Braxton, Busta Rhymes, Doechii, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, and Remy Ma. The two-day festival is set to return March 8 and 9 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
"We are thrilled to host the 18th anniversary of Jazz in the Gardens and welcome visitors from near and far to our city," said Miami Gardens Mayor Rodney Harris in a statement. "This milestone is a testament to the enduring impact this festival has on our community. It brings people together, enriches the quality of life for our residents and visitors, and stimulates our economy. We look forward to this celebration of creativity and culture together in the City of Miami Gardens."
The festival had previously released a chunk of its lineup earlier this month, but the addition of Hill, who will be curating a set called Diaspora Calling!, really makes this year's event a must-attend. Fugees member Wyclef Jean and YG Marley, Hill's son, will join the Saturday headliner on stage. In addition to Doechii and Rhymes, there will also be performances by Samara Cyn, Foggieraw, Mannywellz, and Zion Marley.
R&B powerhouse New Edition will headline Sunday along with Braxton. Also performing on the second day are DJ Cassidy's Pass the Mic Live!; Beenie Man; Xscape; Coco Jones; Kem; Tye Tribbett; Dru Hill; DJ Nasty's Miami House Party Set featuring Uncle Luke, Doug E. Fresh, Mike Smiff, Pretty Porcelain, 69 Boyz, Yung Joc; and Jeff Bradshaw & Friends featuring a special performance by Eric Roberson.
Tickets are currently on sale, starting at $250 for a two-day general admission and topping out at $1,500 for a Titanium pass.
