The tour takes its name from Lil Baby's latest album, WHAM (an acronym for "Who Hard As Me"), which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, surpassing heavyweights like Bad Bunny's Debí Tirar Más Fotos. This is no small feat and speaks to Lil Baby's staying power in the hip-hop landscape.
Despite the impressive debut, WHAM has sparked mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. Popular streamer Kai Cenat, known for his blunt opinions, rated the album a 6/10 during a live review on his stream. The project has been criticized for lacking the radio-ready hits of past efforts like My Turn or the underground grit of Harder Than Ever.
Still, WHAM showcases Lil Baby's versatility and features a lineup of heavyweight collaborations, including 21 Savage, GloRilla, Travis Scott, and Young Thug. Interestingly, Baby delayed the album's release to wait for Young Thug's highly anticipated release from jail, adding a layer of personal significance to the project.
Beyond the album, Lil Baby has proven he can make a spectacle out of his live performances. At Rolling Loud in December, he delivered one of the festival's standout sets. Fans heading to the Kaseya Center can expect an energetic setlist packed with hits like "Band4Band," "We Paid," and "Yes Indeed."
