Units in Mercedes-Benz's second luxury residential tower in Miami, by JDS Development Group and GV Development Group, are officially for sale.
"We're delighted to be launching the second tower at Mercedes-Benz Places in Miami," Michael Stern, CEO of JDS Development Group, said in a press release. "The international demand and sales to date have been extremely positive. It is a privilege to work with Mercedes‑Benz to create a brand new, design-led community for the future, underpinned by sustainable building methods."
Located in Brickell at 191 SW 12th St., Mercedes-Benz Places, which will span more than 2.5 million square feet, is the company's first real estate project in the United States. The car company is also developing a luxury tower in Dubai.
This project comes amid a wave of luxury car residential high rises in South Florida, such as the Aston Martin Residences, Porsche Design Tower, and Bentley Residences. Once completed, it will be the one of the largest developments in Brickell.
The 67-story luxury condominium building will feature 791 residences, 200,000 square feet of office space, 130,000 square feet of amenity and hospitality space, two signature restaurants, Mercedes-Benz house cars, a custom Mercedes race car simulator, sun and garden pools, padel courts, a recording studio, and a two-acre park, among several other luxury amenities. The cuboid tower is "characterized by its stacked and offset volumes" and "embodies the Mercedes-Benz brand aesthetic," according to the car company. Just four days into the sales release for units in tower one last year, 100 residences were sold. The residences, which include studios to three-bedroom units, range from $750,000 to $4 million. In addition to luxury residences, the development will feature a 174-room hotel.
The commissioned sales gallery, which opened on February 5, provides a glimpse of the interior of the opulent residences and the Silver Arrow Lounge, a resident-only rooftop inspired by the Mercedes "Silver Arrow" racing cars. The rooftop space will offer a 52-foot swimming pool and sun deck. Mercedes-Benz Design is partnering with SHoP Architects and Woods Bagot on the interior that will feature floor-to-ceiling windows up to 10-feet high and custom-designed kitchens and bathrooms.
"The architecture of Mercedes-Benz Places in Miami reflects the timeless tradition of our design philosophy of sensual purity and infuses iconic potential into luxury living," Gorden Wagener, chief design officer of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, added. "We are transferring our significant automotive design expertise into architecture and with that make a strong and different timeless statement."
The luxury development is set to be completed in 2028.
