Earlier this month, demonstrators staged protests around the nation in response to President Donald Trump's slew of executive orders and the conservative Project 2025 agenda that target illegal immigration, federal diversity efforts, and transgender rights (just to name a few).

The grassroots 50501 (Fifty-Fifty-One) movement was created on Reddit to stage 50 protests in 50 state capitals in one day. As word quickly spread on social media, organizers held over 80 demonstrations in all 50 states on February 5 to protest the Trump administration and tech billionaire Elon Musk in particular. While the main protest in the Sunshine State took place in Tallahassee, protesters gathered in West Palm Beach and Tampa for their own demonstrations.

Now, Miami is staging a 50501 protest dubbed "Not My President's Day" on Monday, February 17, Presidents' Day. Other Florida protests are planned for Tallahassee, Orlando, Orange Park, Ocala, Winter Haven, Tampa, Sarasota, and Fort Myers.

"50501 is back again!" the post reads in the r/Miami subreddit. "This time instead of WPB we're headed to Miami with carpools available. "Show up with your best signs and brightest colors SoFlo 🫶 feel free to cross post this and print and spread it!"

Some Reddit users expressed their support for the protest and said they are planning to attend while others called the protesters idiots.

"I’m game," one comment reads. "I live around the corner, and will stop by to show my support."

Another person wrote, "I'm in. Don’t be the ones to tell your kids you said nothing while our country slid into barbarity."

"FUCK YEA," a user added.

If you are looking to participate in the "day of action" on Monday, here is what you need to know:

When is Miami's 50501 Protest?
