Pitbull's London Concert Reminds Internet He's Still Mr. Worldwide

In case you thought Pitbull's star power was fading, his sold-out show at London's O2 Arena proved otherwise.

The internet seemed both perplexed and suffering from a serious case of FOMO when pictures and videos from Pitbull's sold-out concert at London's O2 Arena on Friday, February 21. Swaths of concertgoers wearing suits and bald caps turned up to the venue to see Mr. Worldwide perform his catalogue of hits, including "International Love," "Give Me Everything," "Culo," and "Timber."

In all, it seemed like a fun show that showcased why Pitbull continues to be one of the best entertainers out there. Still, Pitbull hasn't had a chart-topping hit since his 2015 Chris Brown collaboration "Fun," off of his eighth album, Globalization. So the fact that Pitbull, in the year 2025, can sell out a venue as massive as the O2 Arena came as a surprise to many — New Times included.

"How the hell did Pitbull sell out the O2 Arena lmao? I know he has hits, but I didn’t realise he was in demand like that," @Ashh_tonB wrote on X.
Still, by the looks of it, Londoners were treating Pitbull's UK show as the ultimate party, leaving those who didn't score tickets or overlooked the show feeling left out of the fun. Some complained that Pitbull should have performed at a bigger stadium, while others said the show would go down in history as one of the best concerts.
On TikTok, concertgoers shared videos of throngs of bald-cap-wearing revelers excited for Pitbull's London show, with some describing it as being in a club. It's mind-blowing to see thousands jumping up and down in excitement for an act that, again, hasn't had a sizable hit in nearly a decade.

It's evident that Pitbull has entered his legacy era — not too dissimilar from Beyoncé and Taylor Swift — where he can sell out arenas without having to worry about having his songs charting. It's a luxury only very few artists enjoy. And with 2025 so far being a dumpster fire of a year, you can't blame thousands for wanting to escape by partying alongside Mr. Worldwide, even if for just one night.

The European leg of Pitbull's Party After Dark Tour continues with a stop at Amsterdam today and Cologne on Tuesday.
