According to Deadline, the appearance happened because Wilson and comedian Matt Rife are starring in a Live Nation-produced comedy titled Rolling Loud.
Another surprise was the weather, which turned from the typically dry Miami winter into a downpour just as Scott was delivering one of the best performances the festival had ever seen.
Here are other highlights from the second day of Rolling Loud 2024 at Hard Rock Stadium.

Ski Mask the Slump God
Much like my show review this past summer, Ski Mask the Slump God turned the Hard Rock Stadium grounds into a massive rager. However, unlike the Fillmore Miami Beach, there were no walls to contain the madness he unleashed onto a crowd as he played his classics like "RIP Roach" and "Achoo." Reminiscent of his past shows, he celebrated Juice Wrld and XXXTentacion by performing "Legends" and "Jocelyn Flores." And once again, Ski brought out Danny Towers to play songs "How You Feel?" and "Florida Water," a reminder of when all South Florida rappers would hang out and perform together at earlier editions of Rolling Loud. Ultimately, the festival's main stage felt like it was made for Ski as he took command while looking very comfortable.

Sexyy Red
"Get it, Sexyy!" chanted the crowd at Rolling Loud as Sexyy Red hopped on stage for another appearance at the festival, this time with a fuller music catalogue to back her up. If JT's set from yesterday was all about ass-shaking, Sexyy's set was just about being ratchet as hell. Known for her outspoken lyrics, the St. Louis native came out in an all-red fur jacket and devil horns to match. Beyond the ass-shaking, girls were getting down low and screaming out verses that would send your grandma into cardiac arrest. Things started strong with hits like "Pound Town" and "Whatchu Kno About Me" and continued to build thanks to Sexyy's immense tracklist of viral songs. At one point during the show, she brought out South Florida rapper Hotboi for two songs before getting down and dirty on stage again. She had dancers on stripper poles for the song "Looking for the Hoes," but then the lights went green as she rapped her verse off Tyler, the Creator's "Sticky." She closed off with songs "SkeeYee" and "Get It Sexyy," giving the crowd the Hood's Princess best on that stage.4Batz
One thing I didn't expect 4Batz to have is a backing track, considering his music leans toward R&B, but if you've ever heard his natural deep voice, it makes sense. The Dallas native made his debut on the GoPuff stage, where he played through his mixtape U Made Me a St4r in glorious fashion, turning the stage into a house and with a dancer playing his girlfriend. It was an incredible set from someone who's had a great 2024. The best moment came when he played "Act II: Date @ 8," and the crowd joined in on the viral song. Ultimately, he delivered on the vision behind his music, but he might have a bigger body of work the next he plays late in the day, a time usually reserved for veterans of the game.Travis Scott
If there was anyone I knew would deliver, it's Travis Scott. He decided to open the show at 11:40 p.m. by flying down from a helicopter into a tank, then hopping on stage with the fan favorite "Mo City Flexologist." From then on, it was like an hour of mayhem and hyped-up energy in the crowd as troops of shirtless, ski mask-wearing guys started opening up circle pit after circle pit. Sometimes, there would be two or three next to one another, and they'd combine to make one giant pit where guys turned Rolling Loud into something not too dissimilar to a real-life Fight Club.Despite the intense moshing, I tried to focus on the stage, which featured an elevated platform, grass, and some Utopia-esque decor. For an hour straight, Scott had everyone going crazy, jumping and screaming out lyrics to songs like "Mamacita" and "Nightcrawler." It was the most chaotic experience of my life — at least since the last time I saw Scott in 2019. The moment that shocked everyone was when Owen Wilson — better known as Lightning McQueen to many of those in the crowd — came out after the first rendition of "Fein" and said the magic words: "I'm feigning for some more!" Scott would play the song four more times. The downpour that started midway through the show added to the cinematic feel of Scott's set. Everyone was wet, covered in mud, pushing, jumping, and throwing hands, and all you could hear was, "Fein! Fein! Fein!" The rain continued through performances of "Sicko Mode," "Antidote," and the newly teased "Play Me." The weather finally cleared just as Scott walked off stage to "Telekinesis," and the crowd cheered for the best set of Rolling Loud 2024 so far.
