R House Will Host Weekly Drag Race Watch Parties, Meet and Greets

The weekly Wynwood parties are particularly fitting, as South Florida is well-represented on the show this season.

One of Miami's premier venues for drag shows has announced it will host weekly RuPaul's Drag Race watch parties and VIP meet and greets with the Season 17 contestants.

The "Yas Queen" watch parties will start with happy hour Fridays at 4 p.m., move to dinner service at 6:30 p.m., and host a screening of the week's episode at 8 p.m. Drag performances will follow, beginning at 9:30 p.m.

If you think you'd rather watch the show from the comfort of your couch, R House is sweetening the deal with weekly appearances from the Season 17 queens. Lexi Love will join the party this Friday, with appearances from Jewels Sparkles, Lana JaRae, Suzie Toot, Lucky Starzzz, and Crystal Envy to follow through the season finale in April.

The weekly Wynwood parties are particularly fitting now, as South Florida is well-represented on the show this season — Lucky Starzzz is from Miami, while Suzie Toot hails from Fort Lauderdale. Spoiler alert: Lucky was unfortunately eliminated last week, but as New Times contributor Trae DeLellis wrote in his weekly recap, she quickly became a fan favorite. She'll visit R House during the April 18 watch party.

Miami drag staple Athena Dion will host the weekly "Yas Queen" parties, while Juicy Love, Kat Wilderness, Tayanna Love, British Jay Foxx, Gadfrie, and D'Vice Dion will round out the night with drag performances.

R House is home to four weekly drag brunches, with 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. seatings on Saturdays and Sundays. Season 17 contestant Jewels Sparkles will perform at the Saturday, February 8 brunches.

The venue has also snagged a cameo from Season 13 vet Elliott With 2 T's, who will perform and meet fans on Friday, January 31, and Sunday, February 2.
