The ultra-low-cost carrier has had a turbulent couple of years. Failed mergers with Frontier and JetBlue led the company to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November, and the company has been forced to restructure and reduce capacity across its network, including at its busiest hub, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The airline is strapped for cash, but that's not stopping it from doling out a pretty sweet deal for 305 Day. Yesterday, Spirit announced it will offer one-way flights from Miami International Airport to 11 cities starting at just $30.50. There are some caveats, of course. Fares must be booked today, Wednesday, March 5, by 11:59 p.m. for travel from March 19 to May 7, 2025, with a 14-day advance purchase. Blackout dates include Fridays, Sundays (but notably not Saturdays!), and April 17-22.
One-way flight deals are available to the following cities:
- Atlanta (ATL)
- Boston (BOS)
- Baltimore (BWI)
- Charlotte (CLT)
- Dallas (DFW)
- Detroit (DTW)
- Newark (EWR)
- Houston (IAH)
- New York (LGA)
- Philadelphia (PHL)
- Raleigh (RDU)
The airline deal is yet another example of the explosive growth of the local holiday since 305 Cafecito launched in 2014. The festivities include a block party at Wynwood Marketplace with live music, food vendors, and activations, plus deals and even freebies from local restaurants.
