On Wednesday, the cannabis giant announced the launch of Onward, a non-alcoholic THC beverage that it describes as "a modern alternative for social occasions." Trulieve says the drinks, which are compliant with the federal Farm Bill, are available for purchase online and will soon be on shelves at Total Wine locations in Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
"We are excited to introduce this innovative and federally compliant beverage line to those seeking a new and alternative form of refreshment," Trulieve's CEO, Kim Rivers, wrote in a press release.

The THC-infused drinks come in a range of flavors, including Passionfruit Martini, Peach Bellini, Blueberry Mojito, and Sea Salt Margarita.

According to Onward's website, you'll start to feel the effects roughly ten to 15 minutes after guzzling one down.
You might be wondering: do the drinks contain "real" weed?
In short: yes.
New Jersey-based Highgrade Testing Lab analyzed the beverages. The results, available on Onward's website, show that each drink contains a blend of Delta-9 THC and CBD.
The 2018 Farm Bill federally legalized hemp and other cannabis plants that contain extremely low concentrations (AKA no more than 0.3 percent) of delta-9 THC.
Staci Gruber, director of the Marijuana Investigations for Neuroscientific Discovery program at McLean Hospital in Massachusetts, recently explained to the Washington Post that the delta-9 THC in cannabis beverages is typically sourced from hemp, which is legal to produce under federal law.
Trulieve is by far Florida's largest medical marijuana operator, with more than 150 locations across Florida. The company has been a dominant player in the Florida cannabis market since the state legalized medical marijuana through a ballot initiative back in 2016.
