Indie rockers Vampire Weekend have announced the second leg of their Only God Was Above Us Tour with dates throughout North America and Europe this summer. Miami will finally be able to see the trio live when the tour stops at the FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park on Friday, June 13. Opening the show will be Billy Joel tribute band Turnstiles, who previously opened for the band's sold-out Madison Square Garden concert.

The tour is in support of the band's fifth album, Only God Was Above Us, heralded by critics and fans alike as one of Vampire Weekend's best albums. It is impressive considering the band's already celebrated music catalogue, and it is even more of a feat when you think that Only God Was Above Us was released by a band who has been going at it since the mid-2000s. Most bands going as long as Vampire Weekend usually coasts on the hits they released decades prior.

Vampire Weekend last visited Miami in 2019, when the band performed at the James L. Knight Center as part of its Father of the Bride Tour.

Tickets for the upcoming Vampire Weekend concert will go on sale Friday, February 28, at 10 a.m. Citi card members can participate in the presale on Tuesday, February 25, at 10 a.m. Fans can also sign up for the band's presale at vampireweekend.com, which starts Wednesday, February 26, at 10 a.m.
