Once, they were star luxury real estate brokers. Now, they face sprawling charges of sex trafficking and sexual assault.

On Wednesday morning, federal agents arrested high-profile Miami real estate brokers Oren, 37, and Tal Alexander, 38, as well as their brother Alon, 37, on charges of sex trafficking. Hours later, the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office announced that the Alexander brothers were also facing separate first-degree sexual battery charges following an investigation into assaults that allegedly occurred in Miami Beach.

On Friday, Circuit Judge Lody Jean granted a $3 million bond to Oren and a $2 million bond to Alon in the Miami sexual battery case. However, the two will remain in custody for the federal sex trafficking charges.

But while many people are already familiar with the prominent Alexander trio, there is a fourth, somewhat lesser-known individual who faces charges alongside the two brothers in Miami-Dade: Ohad Fisherman.

Fisherman, a friend of the Alexander brothers, is facing sexual-assault charges related to a 2016 New Year's Eve incident involving Oren and Alon. He remains at large. (Fisherman is not included in the federal indictment that alleges sex trafficking.)

Below are five things to know about Ohad Fisherman.

He Has Been Dubbed "New York's Hummus Hunk"

In 2013, shortly after moving to New York from his native Israel, Fisherman launched a hummus company called Hummus Joonam while feeling "fed up" with American hummus brands like Sabra. The hummus goes for a casual $10 for an eight-ounce tub.

His family owns the long-running Tel-Aviv, Israel, restaurant Mifgash Hasteak, which is known for its hummus.

He's also a looker. The conservative Jewish online magazine Tablet dubbed Ohad "New York's Hummus Hunk" in 2016. [Ohad's] a handsome 30-year-old Israeli real estate broker (and he’s single, I think, for any interested parties out there!)," Tablet's Rachel Shukert gushed at the time.

He's a Luxury Real Estate Broker

Formerly a real estate broker with Douglas Elliman, Fisherman launched his own group, Fisherman Group, where he regularly portrays himself living his best life with his adorable mini poodle in tow, in October 2024, according to LinkedIn.

According to Fisherman's website, after a decade of doing real estate in Manhattan, COVID-19 interrupted his hummus hustle, so he decided to enter South Florida's real estate market.

"With signature swiftness, he completed record-breaking beachfront transactions: He became the top buyer's broker in the exclusive development of Arte Surfside in Miami Beach, where he closed $89 million within a year," the site claims.

In early 2023, Fisherman represented the mystery buyer in a $17 million sale of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s six-bedroom Surfside condo rental in the oceanfront Arte tower.

He Served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)

According to a biography on the real estate website StreetEasy, Fisherman served three years in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which "taught him invaluable skills such as discipline and honor."

"[Fisherman] prides himself on his morals and ethics and proudly acts with integrity at all times," his bio reads.

The timeframe in which he reportedly served in the Israeli military is unclear. The State of Israel requires every Israeli citizen over the age of 18 who is Jewish, Druze, or Circassian to serve in the IDF (although there are a few exceptions).

He Is Charged With Participating in a "Gang Rape" in Miami Beach

Miami-Dade County prosecutors allege that on December 31, 2016, Fisherman, along with Oren and Alon Alexander, participated in a "gang rape" in Miami Beach.

According to an affidavit in the case, Alon invited a woman to his home and brought her to his bedroom, which Oren and Fisherman then entered before locking the door behind them. Fisherman allegedly approached the victim from behind and "held her shoulders, forcing her onto her back" before placing his knees behind her shoulders and pinning her arms onto the bed.

The affidavit claims that after Oren raped the victim, Alon replaced him, penetrating her as Oren sat in the corner. Oren allegedly told the victim she wouldn't be allowed to leave until she had sex with him, but she refused, crying hysterically.

Fisherman did not penetrate the victim, instead holding her down while Alon and Oren sexually assaulted her, according to the affidavit.

He Remains at Large (and Might Be in East Asia)

Fisherman has yet to be taken into custody.

The Real Deal reports that he appears to be in Japan, citing photos posted on his private Instagram account.

Editor's note 12/13/24: Law enforcement officials initially identified Ohad Fisherman as a cousin of the Alexander brothers. A judge later confirmed that Fisherman is a family friend. This story reflects that correction.
