Bakery 1908 & Cafe, the bakery sensation that has gone viral on Instagram and TikTok, just opened its second location in Orlando, right next to Disney World. This unique bakery is where East meets West, combining traditional Asian fare alongside American and European classics.
Bakery 1908 opened its doors in Orlando in November 2023 and quickly became a local favorite, selling more than 400,000 buns in its first year. The bakery's success lies in its ability to blend two culinary worlds—Asian-inspired dim sum and dumplings and sweet, buttery European-style pastries.@foodbytiana ✨MOST INCREDIBLE ASIAN BAKERY IN FLORIDA✨ I would highly recommend checking out @bakery1908usa when in Orlando!!🙂↕️ 📍 @Bakery 1908 -2021 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL #asianbakery #asianfoodie #asiancuisine #orlandofood #orlandofoodie #dumpling #sweetbun #asiancooking #orlandofoodies ♬ Move - Adam Port & Stryv & Camila Cabello
The result is a menu that appeals to a wide variety of tastes and cravings, from creamy egg yolk buns to savory rice rolls and smoky charcoal pastries. This second spot promises even more, with the addition of a noodle bar and exclusive menu items that can only be found at this location.
Owned by YH Restaurant Group — known for YH Seafood Clubhouse, which earned a spot on Orlando's Michelin guide — Bakery 1908 brings the flavors of Hong Kong and Taiwanese-style bakeries to the heart of Florida. Known for its fusion of sweet and savory baked goods, dumplings, dim sum, and Boba tea, the bakery is the brainchild of restaurateur John Zhao, who's been expanding his culinary empire with a focus on introducing Americans to the rich variety of Asian flavors.

The pan-fried chive dumplings (pork, chive, shrimp), fried tofu, wonton soup dumplings, siu mai, and the popular phoenix claw (braised chicken feet) all stand out as favorites.

Pastries, Dim Sum, Dumplings, and Boba Tea — But You’ll Have to Go to Orlando to Taste It
The new Orlando cafe location features a diverse menu, from freshly baked buns and savory pastries to dumplings, dim sum, and specialty teas. Bites are usually made fresh on-site, with some items — like the dumplings — prepared in Zhao’s central kitchen in Tampa and delivered to his various locations across the state.Customers can find hot, freshly made items starting around midday, but the bakery's sweet and savory pastries are typically available as soon as the doors open.
The space has a quick turnover, with many patrons opting for takeout, though others settle in to enjoy the buzzing atmosphere. Tables fill up quickly, but the real star of the show is the food: the pan-fried chive dumplings (pork, chive, shrimp), fried tofu, wonton soup dumplings, siu mai, and the popular phoenix claw (braised chicken feet) all stand out as favorites.

Highlights include the strawberry cream bun, which pairs a light, pillowy bun with a rich strawberry filling, and the sweet cream cheese bun, a soft and slightly tangy treat enveloped in a buttery, tender dough.
